SERRANO – EL DORADO HILLS, NATURE AND WALKING TRAIL SYSTEM

About 17 miles of trails (including trail connectors) wind through the Serrano community, providing access to approximately 1,000 acres of natural areas – open fields, restored wetlands, creeks, and oak groves. In addition to Serrano’s hallmark heritage oak trees, trail users will see cottonwoods, flowering shrubs, bright yellow California poppies, blue and yellow lupine, and tall cattails with their tight brown flower clusters. Walkers may also see turtles, deer, rabbits, wild turkeys, and red tail hawks.

As part of the Sierra foothills, more dangerous wildlife may occasionally be seen at Serrano, such as rattlesnakes and coyotes.
